New Delhi: Amidst the weakening wave of corona in the country, different things are being said about its third wave. Some experts say that the third wave of corona in the country will be severe than before. At the same time, some say that there is nothing to worry about in the third wave. Meanwhile, SBI’s research report has made a big prediction about the third wave. 

SBI’s research report has predicted a third wave in August. It has also been said that its peak will be in September. This research of SBI has been published under the name ‘Covid-19: The Race to Finish Line.’ 

It has been said in the report that in the second week of July, the number of new patients will increase to 10 thousand. In the last 24 hours, 34 thousand 703 new cases of corona have been reported in India. Significantly, after 111 days, few cases have been reported in the country. 

Families suffer due to increasing debts

Frightening news has come to the fore in the pandemic. A report by SBI Research has revealed that the families of India are burdened with debt. The corona pandemic has had a huge impact on the income and economic condition of the people, increasing the debt at the family level.

This report of SBI Research says that in the financial year 2020-21, the debt on the family has reached 37.3 percent of the GDP as against 32.5 percent in the last financial year of 2019-20.

It has also been said in the report that due to the second wave of the pandemic, this ratio of debt may increase further in the current financial year.  However, the level of family debt has been increasing since the implementation of GST in July 2017. Earlier, demonetisation was implemented in November 2016.

According to the report, the level of debt on households has increased by 7.20 percent in the four years from the financial year 2017-18. It was 30.1 percent in the financial year 2017-18, which increased to 31.7 percent in 2018-19, 32.5 percent in 2019-20 and jumped to 37.3 percent in 2020-21.

However, the family debt to GDP ratio in India is less as compared to other countries. It is 90 percent in Britain, 79.5 in America, 65.3 in Japan, 61.7 percent in China.  Whereas Mexico has the lowest family debt to GDP ratio at 17.4 percent. Rising household debt means that the savings rate has decreased due to increased consumption and spending on health.

New Delhi: A significant dip in daily Covid-19 noted as India reported less than 40,000 daily new cases after 102 days. As per the Union Health Ministry, 37,566 new Covid-19 cases, 56,994 recoveries, and 907 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

New Delhi: The daily Covid count in India has remained below 1 lakh for the past five days. Country recorded 42,640 new COVID19 cases, 81,839 discharges and 1,167 deaths in last 24 hours. As per the latest health bulletin issued by the Union Health Ministry, this is the lowest in 91 days.

• Death toll: 3,89,302
• Active cases: 6,62,521
• Total Vaccination: 28,87,66,201

The Indian Council of Medical Research has informed that the total number of samples tested up to 21st June is 39,40,72,142. Of these, 16,64,360 samples for Covid-19 were tested yesterday. 

India administered 86.16 lakh (86,16,373) vaccine doses on the first day of implementation of centre’s revised guidelines wherein it took over the responsibility of procuring Covid-19 vaccines for the 18+ age group. Ministry of Health claimed that this is the highest ever single day vaccination achieved in the world so far.  With this, the number of total  vaccine doses administered so far is 28,87,66,201. 

According to the revised guidelines which came into effect from June 21, vaccine doses provided free of cost by the Centre will be allocated to states and UTs based on criteria such as population, disease burden and the progress of vaccination, and all above the age of 18 will be eligible for the free jabs.

Delhi: After a single-day spike of 2,81,386 COVID-19 infections, India on Tuesday again reported a slight drop in number of fresh cases of infection. As per Union Health Ministry, India reported 2,63,533 new cases, 4,22,436 discharges and 4,329 deaths in the last 24 hours. 

With this, the number of total cases recorded till date are 2,52,28,996. Country’s death toll due to novel Coronavirus stands at 2,78,719. While as many as 2,15,96,512 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, there are around 33,53,765 active cases of Covid-19 present across country.

The Union Health Ministry on Monday said that the cumulative number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed 18.44 crore with 14,79,592 doses given on Monday. As per data issued by the Centre, 6,63,329 beneficiaries in the age group of 18-44 years received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine on Monday and cumulatively 59,32,704 people across 36 states and UTs since the start of phase-3 of the vaccination drive.

Indian Council of Medical Research reported that 31,82,92,881 samples were tested for Covid-19 up to 17th May 2021. Of these, 18,69,223 samples were tested yesterday. 

New Delhi: In another alarming surge, India reported over 4.01 lakh (4,01,078) fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

4,187 people succumbed to the deadly infection, the highest number of fatalities in a single-day, as per the Union Health Ministry data. The total caseload surpassed 2.18-lakh mark (2,18,92,676), while the death count climbed to 2,38,270. 

 

 

After slight breather due to a dip in number of fresh Covid-19 cases yesterday, India again on Wednesday recorded a notable surge. As per the latest health bulletin issued by the Union Home Ministry, India lodged 3,82,315 new COVID19 cases and 3,780 deaths in the last 24 hours. With this, the Coronavirus case tally has jumped to 2,06,65,148 while the death toll has been pushed to 2,26,188. 

The health bulletin stated that there are as many as 34,87,229 active cases in the country. India’s cumulative recoveries stand at 1,69,51,731 with 3,38,439 recoveries being reported in the last 24 hours. With this, the National Recovery Rate is 81.91%. 

Cumulative vaccination coverage exceeds 15.89 crore as phase-3 of Vaccination drive commences. 4,06,339 beneficiaries of the age group 18-44 years received their first dose of COVID vaccine across 12 States/UT. 

Indian Council of Medical Research reported that 29,48,52,078 samples were tested for COVID19 up to 4th May 2021. Of these 15,41,299 samples were tested yesterday. 

Delhi reported 19,953 new COVID-19 cases and 338 deaths on 4th May 2021. As per the latest health bulletin, the total cases now stand at 12,32,942 while the death toll has climbed to 17,752. Till date, 11,24,771 Covid patients have recovered while there are 90,419 active cases of Coronavirus in the national capital. 

Speaking of worst-hit state, Maharashtra on Tuesday recorded a 5 per cent drop in positivity rate of COVID infection, from 27 percent to 22 per cent, adding that recovery rate is at 84.07 per cent, which is the highest in the country.

Rajasthan on the other hand recorded the highest single-day spike of 16,974 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, pushing its infection tally to 6,68,221. The state health department in a bulletin said number of active cases in the state also rose to 1,97,045 while 154 fresh COVID-19 fatalities were registered.
