Islamabad: In a tragic incident, at least 30 people have died after two express trains collided in Pakistan’s Sindh area on Monday morning. According to Pakistan’s ARY News, the Sir Syed Express train collided with Millat Express between Reti and Daharki railway stations in Ghotki in Sindh province.
Reports suggest that the Sir Syed Express train, which was heading towards Lahore collided with the Millat Express which was derailed on the way to Sargodha from Karachi.
The two passenger trains collided near Dharki, a city in the Ghotki District in upper Sindh province of Pakistan.
According to local media reports from Pakistan, Ghotki Deputy Commissioner Usman Abdullah informed that an emergency has been declared at hospitals in Ghotki, Dharki, Obaro, and Mirpur Mathelo.
Doctors and medical staff had been called on duty to provide medical aid to the injured passengers.
The Deputy Commissioner also informed that a relief train has left from Rohri to the accident spot.
