India’s javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, who had won the Gold Medal in men’s javelin throw final to script history at the recently-concluded Tokyo Olympics 2020, had to leave the welcome ceremony in Haryana’s Panipat midway due to high fever and was taken to the hospital.
Reportedly, the ceremony was also cut short due to heatwave. Few days back, the star athlete was down with a sore throat and fever when he had joined the Indian contingent for Independence Day celebrations, but had tested negative for Coronavirus. As per sources, Neeraj has been advised to rest and now his condition is stable.
