Corona’s transition has taken the life of another Bollywood person. Ajay Sharma, who worked in films like ‘Jagga Jasoos’, ‘Ludo’, ‘Pyar Ka Punchnama 2′, ‘Indu Ki Jawani‘, ‘Karwaan‘ and ‘Crook’, passed away due to COVID-19 complications. He took his last breath at a Delhi hospital. Sharma was in his late 30s.
A source close to Ajay told ABP News, “He was admitted in the ICU ward of Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital in New Delhi since the last two weeks. He died sometime between 1-2am.” Sharma is survived by his wife and 4-year-old son.
Ajay Sharma also worked as an assistant editor for films like ‘Barfi’, ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani‘, ‘Agneepath‘, ‘Kai Po Che’, ‘Life in Metro’, ‘The Dirty Picture’. He also directed a short film called ‘Jolly 1995’.
He had edited the hit web series ‘Bandish Bandits’, which beamed on Amazon Prime. Anand Tiwari, who directed the series, opened up about Sharma’s untimely death while talking to ABP News.
“Ajay was a editor and had amazing potential. We have lost a very young and talented editor. I work with him further. I was keen to work with him again and we had discussions about it. Not only me, the entire industry will feel the void after his demise.”
Tinsel town celebs expressed their grief of Ajay’s death on social media. Shriya Pilgaonkar got emotional while penning her thoughts. She wrote, “Devasted is an understatement. We lost Ajay Sharma today. Not just an incredibly fine editor but an absolute gem of a human being. Nothing makes sense.”
