Covid In India: The Delhi Chief Minister has extended the lockdown for 1 more week to keep the Covid situation under control. The lockdown restrictions will continue till 24th May, morning 5 AM.
“We are extending the lockdown for one more week. Instead of tomorrow, lockdown is extended till next Monday, 5 am in Delhi,” Kejriwal said.
Restrictions will continue to be effective as earlier and Delhi Metro will be shut during the lockdown period.
Marriage ceremonies at public places/ banquet halls/hotels will be prohibited during the lockdown.
However, marriage ceremonies allowed to be organized at home or in Court.

The national capital recorded 6,430 new COVID-19 cases and 337 fatalities on Saturday while the positivity rate dipped to 11.32 per cent. The Delhi CM said earlier that that cases in the capital are declining “slowly and steadily”.
Delhi has been recording less than 10,000 cases for the past 2 days. According to the latest health bulletin, 6,430 fresh cases were recorded, while the 337 new fatalities pushed the death toll here to 21,244.
Delhi on Friday had recorded 8,506 COVID-19 cases, the lowest since April 10, with medical experts attributing the lockdown as the main factor behind the dip amid the second wave of the pandemic.
